My husband very much liked both pairs of shoes but a size 10 was too big - he usually takes 10 - 11. He would have loved to try 9.5 but the cost of returning them at nearly £10 put him off. What if 9.5 didn't fit?? He has worn Josef Seibel shoes before and loved them . . . . . . why are high street shops closing down - particularly shoe shops when sizes vary so much and postage costs are extortionate?

I have wide, deep, feet and find it hard to get shoes that fit. A UK 10 is too long but a European 44 is often OK. This shoe was too wide and too long in the UK 9.5. As a result I sent them back and that process was handled very smoothly and professionally. I wish they'd fitted: I like the shoe and it is well made.

I use it for daily wear at work in office and warehouse. Lasts really well, my second pair now
