These shoes fit the bill just right. I needed a rugged shoe to cope with the coming winter, but more casual than a walking boot. That's why I like the deep tread on the sole, which can take on any slippery conditions. Then there is the fact the shoes are waterproof, handy for trudging through snow or wet conditions. But, the styling takes them well beyond what would otherwise be traditional "sensible" shoes. Moving onto how comfortable they are, I was surprised by their flexibility, even with the deeply treaded sole. Having the choice of half sizes helped a great deal as well, as I have always taken a nine and a half, something so many other manufacturers won't provide these days. So, all in all, I am very happy with all aspects of these shoes - comfort, style and ruggedness.

I have a pair of these Josef Seibel shoes, old friends that I've worn almost continuously for the past two or three years and they are still going strong. Concerned that I couldn't see anything that would come up to their high quality and comfort to replace them in the future, I ventured online to the Josef Seibel website and found to my delight that this classic pair are still available. The shoes arrived speedily and they are almost identical to my old Seibel favourites, comfortable inside build, strong sole and go well with any clothing and in all weathers. They tick all the boxes and so thankful that they were still available to find!
