Family footwear store and long standing Josef Seibel stockist, SoleLution, is celebrating their 15th anniversary by joining the ranks of the Small Biz 100, a national campaign highlighting some of the UK’s most inspiring small businesses.
With shops based in Portishead and Clifton Village, SoleLution will be given a spell in the spotlight on 4th October, as part of the national campaign marking 100 days building up to Small Business Saturday and launching a month-long birthday celebration for the business.
Owner Tanya Marriott said, “Small Business Saturday is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, aimed to encourage consumers to shop local and support independent businesses. I am very proud to be part of the Small Biz 100, it was quite a surprise to find that we were one of only 100 to be selected in the whole country. It’s fantastic to be a part of something that recognises and highlights the important role that small, local businesses play in their community.”
SoleLution first opened its doors in Portishead High Street in October 2005 with the Clifton shop opening in February 2008. Tanya has a passion for correctly fitting shoes, which has taken her further afield that you may imagine. Three years ago, SoleLution started donating shoes to a charity Educate the Kids, which supports a school and orphanage in Kenya. Since then, Tanya has made four trips to the country, and with a team of volunteers on their last visit in January 2020, fitted children with 800 pairs of shoes in four days! Josef Seibel also donated some shoes for this project suitable for older children.
Congratulations on 15 successful years in business from all at Josef Seibel!
